Face Detection Data Set and Benchmark Home

Welcome to the Face Detection Data Set and Benchmark (FDDB), a data set of face regions designed for studying the problem of unconstrained face detection. This data set contains the annotations for 5171 faces in a set of 2845 images taken from the Faces in the Wild data set. More details can be found in the technical report below.

Download the database:
  • Original, unannotated set of images. These are from the Faces in the Wild dataset, which come with the following restriction: "This dataset is for academic research purposes only".
  • Face annotations. The annotations are split into ten folds. See README for details.
  • README - information on directory structure and file formats
Results:
See the results page for:
(a) the procedure for reporting the results on this benchmark, and
(b) the performance curves for various methods.
